I didn’t have a problem with overeating. I did have a problem with eating the wrong foods though. There were days where I had fast food for breakfast and lunch, and perhaps a slice of pizza and a piece of cake for my dinner. I was not eating very many vegetables or fruits, and I was certainly not getting the exercise I needed to either. I didn’t even think about my lifestyle until my doctor told me my blood pressure was too high. I went home from that doctor’s appointment, scared because I had never been told anything like that before. I did not want to have to be on medication at such a young age, so I decided to do some lifestyle changes first to see if that would help me. There was a great article there about the benefits of walking, and I knew that I as going to start walking every day. I did that for a week, but I was not able to get very far.
I was just too tired, and I realized that my eating needed to change too. Thankfully, there were plenty of articles on nutritionstrategy.com that was able to point me in the right direction for eating better too. Once I changed that, I had a lot more energy. I was not feeling run down like I had been. The sad part was I didn’t even know that I was feeling that way. Being told I have high blood pressure is the best thing that could have happened to me, because it made me change how I was living my life. I feel better now, and my blood pressure is perfect too.
